Soooooooooooooooo. I feel like a lot of times when we post on here it's something serious, or someone left, someone arrived, you get it. And honestly, I've got no problem with that cause it makes sense! But how about some more icebreakers?
FanPort got me thinking cause obviously all the locals are crazy about superheroes, and even non-superheroes, but what about you guys? If you come from a world with superheroes like me, you've got a pretty good head start on everyone else. Still, everyone's probably got some kind of hero, right?
And now I'm sure you're wondering, "Stephanie, who is your favorite superhero?"
Well, drumroll please...
[The drumroll is so she can think of a good answer. It's not working.]
Uh. I had a poster of Superboy when I was in high school. Wait, is Superboy here? I just realized how weird this could potentially get...

I admired the heroines I used to see on the TV as a child. They were always so strong and beautiful, but dedicated to helping others and getting justice for those who could not defend themselves.

Yeah, he is. Although that's not the only reason I had a poster of him... Like you said, strong and beautiful.

What kind of hero was he, though? Powers, no powers...?

How would you define a "superhero"?

But really? My favorite, of course, is me. If you're not your #1 fan, who is?
no subject
Anyways, I think my mom's my #1 fan, not me. Not like I'm a hero or anything, though. But you are, right?

My affection for certain flying rodents aside, Wonder Woman. I've always been a sucker for a strong woman.

Ooooh, nice choice. I don't know what was up with me as a kid, always Superman and Batman... not much of her, though.

It's one of the reasons I find FanPort so endearing. I can't help but hope that some of them will be inspired in the same way.

Did you see anything cool from your fans? Or do a panel or autographs or whatever? Since it sounds like you're a hero yourself now.

[ There's a little bit of silence, then a small 'hmmmm'. ]
I think I would most like to meet the Mariner! He's one of Florida's longest working heroes, and I hear he's a really great guy! A lot of the members of the adult Hero League of our state have gotten to meet him, but the Illinois Junior League members like myself don't usually get to meet with adult heroes from that far across the country. There have been some whispers about him retiring, so I might not get to meet him... But it would be nice if I did!
[ She sounds so excited, and honestly interested in the idea, and for once genuinely is. The Mariner was certainly a hero to look up to in a world with a lot of heroes. At least, to her he was. ]

[She grins, as it's hard not to with how excited the other girl is.]
Plus, even if he retires, you could still meet him. The main difference would be no spandex, right? He'd still be a hero.

[ A Superboy poster, though, huh? Cute. ]
Wonder Woman'd be a good choice. Everyone loves Wonder Woman. [ He pauses. ] And, just for the record, Superboy was here, like, a couple of times. Nice guy. Different world than the one I'm from, though.

[It'd actually be nice to see Kon. Not in this context, though.]
Was she your favorite of all the ones you met? I can't imagine what it'd be like being around superheroes like that... Although I guess it's easier if you're not a huge fan, huh?

My own master, Qui-Gon Jinn, would be among them as well, even if I did spend several years as an apprentice resenting him.

Captain Marvel is really, really cool. Maybe her. Oh, or Squirrel Girl! She gave me Jonathan!

And for the record, sisters totally count! Basically, if someone's a hero to you, that's good enough.
